I used to do my swimming training down there once a week along side the huge jetty when i was a kid. We lived in Ravensthorpe about 30ks away.

I went here 1995-2000ish as a kid before it was a Big 4. You could hand feed the kangaroos. And they had the coolest arcade with pin ball machines and pool tables. Now it's a giant toilet block, overrun by the masses during the holiday. Camping isn't like it was back then. But hey, many parents are precious these days, and they deserve a break too. Lol
We went last year and had a very interesting time. The water is amazing, and snorkelling was great. We told them we were vegetarian before arriving, but the food was mostly fish. The only Veggie food in the shop was weetbix too, so we had that for lunch... Lots of mice in the roofs, which is fine, but the rooms are quite old and need a renovation, I would definitely go back, but I'm bringing my own food next time ;)

Beautiful spot. My Ex Father in law was one of the people responsible for taming the dolphins to be hand fed. He did this by feeding them daily on his way back to shore after a day of fishing/dredging. Now its a historic place in the world because of this & him. What a blessing the elders gave us. 😊🐬
